The softer and much lighter cousin to walnut,
butternut's creamy appearance is easy to love.
Very easy to work with and pleasing to the eye.
Use darker contrasting woods in project details to
really bring out the warmth of this great wood.

Nice selection of medium figured boards. This batch
contains a mixture of sapwood and heartwood and
most will have at least one face all sap. Some
boards may contain a small amount of mineral stain.

Also known as Khaya grows on the West African
tropical coast. Nice reddish brown.

The wood of ash is very similar in
appearance and characteristics to red oak without the
pink overtones. Sapwood is typically creamy white to
pale straw coloured.

This highly prized figured wood is simply beautiful
to look at and will add distinctive touch to your
furniture projects.

Sometimes called rock maple or sugar
maple. Very hard and strong. The stock we sell will
be all white on at least one face of the board.

Because of it's hardness hickory is a traditional
favorite for tool handles but has also sees
use in flooring, cabinets, and furniture.
Hickory displays both the tan heart wood and
the white sapwood for nicely contrasting pieces.
